winner IJssel ID design competition
In collaboration with Arthur van der Laaken, I investigated the IJssel river Valley and its features. We gathered all the architectural building works which use is directly related to the river. Each of these building works were photographed and subsequently drawn. This way, we created a collection of line drawings representing the entire area. The abstracted building works are torn from their original environment and brought together in a pattern, forming a clear and sober summary of the entire IJssel Valley. This way, each resident of the area can find part of his or her living environment within the pattern. This shirt is one of the products that implements the IJssel Icons pattern.
